Hello Everyone and Welcome to our Honeybones Forum. I'm MrsPhilC55 AKA Lisa, I don't have a " story" to share but I'm here as I'm Phil's other half and fellow Honeybones founder. The experience of having been part of Phil's life and the journey we have been on will hopefully add a different dimension to things. I may not have any insight to the actual pain felt but I have lived with watching someone I love dearly crippled in pain doing basic tasks. I have sat at home filling my time on mindless tasks trying to not worry about the Hip Operation he's undergoing and the potential bad outcomes. I have also been on my knees trying to squeeze on a pair of support tights on to Phil while trying not to look at his dreadfully unkept toenails! I have also been in awe as I saw my Husband sit upright and with knees bent for the first time since I'd known him, the day after his Operation. I have marveled at his motivation to keep on doing his leg exercises 6 years after his operation. I have been brought to tears with Pride seeing him cross the finish line after his first triathlon. I have been by his side every step of the way and through it all I have seen that with support and understanding anything can be achieved... and with Phil it usually is! My hope for this forum is that it will offer support to those who are on their own journey and those who support them. I felt very lonely going through the dark times Phil experienced- I don't want anyone else to feel that way. Lisa xx
